Was looking for an art project for one of my grandson's that could "travel".
This stamp kit is very portable, I really like the way everything packs back into it. Good choice of stamps that will provide a lot of story time for the active imagination of my grandson.
I bought this for Christmas for my 4 year old son. He has always loved dinosaurs and recently is more into painting, stamps etc. When he opened this one, he hugged it, turned around and around and was thrilled. Since then he has stamped himself many times and used them in art projects. I think he will use it for some time. It is a great addition to any art/crafts collection. He is so happy with it. I like that it is made of wood, sturdy, durable and I can obviously get more stamp color pads to use if I buy them (it comes with two). The only thing I can think of that is negative is that the box itself doesn't have a lid to close so the stamps, pencils and ink pads fall out easily if moved from the back (lying down) position. The stamp pad does have a lid so that is not a problem if it falls out. The dinosaur stamps that have fresh ink on it could get ink on the surface, so use newspaper or other cloth under it when in use. I'd recommend lightly cleaning the stamps after use though you probably do not have to do this. Educational wise it is not high in my rating on its own, but if you have a good dinasour teaching book to go along with it, it would teach your child about the different ones tha are on the stamps and make it more educational. This was a great buy and I would recommend this product because of it's quality construction. Kids who love dinosaurs and stamps will love it probably up to 10 years old.
